The Park opens officially for the season starting with the weekend of June 23, 24 2012 and the is open everyday (weather permitting) beginning June 30th.
About the Park
Lawrence Parks Recreation is a town owned and operated park facility. The park was built in memory of Lawrence Parks in 1969. The main pool, kiddie pool, bath house, and pump house were constructed at that time. Since then three pavilions, a basketball court, volleyball court, shuffle board, playground equipment and sand boxes have been added. A sixty-foot long bridge over the Cohocton River was constructed in the early 70's to provide access to another area of the park for picnics and camping.
Adults and children over the age of 5 is $2.00 per person
Children under 5 years of age are free.
New this year are the Town of Cohocton Lawrence Parks Recreation Area "Cohocton Resident Season Pass" The passes are available at the Town Clerk's Office, The Village Clerk's Office and the Supervisor's Office. Get yours today.
Lawrence Parks Recreation Area has three pavilions on location for rental
2013 Pavilion rentals will begin January 1, 2012. (Please note the change in fees.)
Pavilion A - (Snyder)$ 60.00 seats approximately 144
Pavilion B - $ 50.00 seats approximately 96
Pavilion Y (Youngs) - $ 50.00 seats approximately 80

Pool Opens 10:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Youngs Pavilion
Enjoy watching your children
swim while visiting with members at your family reunion at Youngs Pavilion.
Located behind the pool area. For a fee of $50.00 you can rent this pavilion

Snyder Pavilion
Located by the playground,
while still conveniently located by the pool area. A perfect place for that
graduation party. For a fee of $60.00 you can rent this pavilion for the day.

Pavilion B
Pavilion B is located
in a wooded setting behind pavilion A. Take advantage of the trails that lead
along the Cohocton River and through the tranquil wooded area of Lawrence
Parks Recreation Area. A short distance away you will find the playground
and the pool area. For a fee of $50.00 you can rent this pavilion for the

Cohocton Summer Recreation Program
This program starts July 2, 2012 and runs through until August 10, 2012, Monday - Friday 12:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Application may be obtained at Carey's Grocery, Village of Cohocton Office and Town of Cohocton Office.
Participants must be 4-12 years in age (entering Kindergarten) for the residents of the Town of Cohocton.
Participants may come from other neighboring communities but will be required to pay an admission fee of
$ 2.00 per person and will be required to fill out the proper paperwork to attend.
